It is a short transfer by our standards, and a popular one: hotel guests heading to east coast resorts, divers and snorkellers going to Dibba, and residents taking a weekend away. Expect 1.5 to 2 hours. Leaving Dubai is the slow bit, especially on weekday mornings and at the start of a weekend, when many residents head out of town. Once past the city the road to the east coast is usually clear, and the mountain section is short.
Straight from the airport to the beach
Landing at DXB and heading straight to an east coast resort is one of the most common bookings on this route. Your driver tracks your flight and waits up to 60 minutes after landing at no charge, so a slow immigration queue or a late bag is covered. From there it is a direct run to your hotel, with no need to stop in Dubai first.
What to bring for a day or weekend
- Swimwear and reef shoes if you plan to snorkel off Al Aqah or Dibba.
- A light layer for the air conditioning in the car.
- Water and a snack for the drive over the mountains, though it is a short trip.
- Child seats, if you need them. They are free, just request them when booking.
Pick‑up in Dubai, drop‑off on the east coast
We collect from Dubai Marina, Downtown, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah, Dubai Hills or straight from Dubai International Airport (DXB) after you land. On the east coast we drop in Fujairah city, Al Aqah, Dibba Al Fujairah and the beach resorts along the coast.
