Question 1

How do I book a transfer?

Accepted Answer

Send us a message via WhatsApp with your route, date, and number of passengers. We'll respond with a quote and confirm availability — usually within minutes.

Question 2

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance for cross-border transfers. For domestic UAE routes, same-day bookings are often available. Contact us via WhatsApp for real-time availability.

Question 3

Can I book a one-way transfer?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Most of our bookings are one-way transfers. Round trips can also be arranged with flexible return timing.

Question 4

Do you offer a car with a driver for a full day in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Alongside cross-border transfers we offer Dubai chauffeur hire — a BMW 7 Series with a professional driver by the hour, day or multi-day within Dubai and the UAE. Rates include fuel, Salik and VAT.

Question 5

Is Platinumride available 24/7?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We operate around the clock, including weekends and public holidays. Early morning and late-night departures are available on all routes.

Question 6

How is pricing calculated?

Accepted Answer

Pricing is per vehicle, not per person. The fare depends on the route, vehicle category, and pickup/drop-off locations. We provide an exact quote before you confirm.

Question 7

Is the price per person or per car?

Accepted Answer

The quoted rate is always per vehicle, not per passenger. During the booking process we confirm the number of travellers to allocate a suitable vehicle. Additional passengers can be accommodated at no extra cost as long as the vehicle comfortably fits the group. If a larger vehicle is needed, we'll let you know and quote accordingly.

Question 8

Is a deposit required?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A deposit is required to confirm your booking and secure the vehicles involved in the journey. The remaining balance is due on pickup or drop-off, as agreed.

Question 9

Are there any hidden fees?

Accepted Answer

No. The quoted fare is the final amount charged by Platinumride and includes the driver, fuel, tolls, and border assistance where applicable. There are no surge charges or hidden fees from our side. At certain border crossings, minor third-party costs may apply — for example, visa processing fees or short shuttle transfers between border posts (such as the taxis that run between the UAE and Saudi checkpoints). These costs are minimal, vary by traveller and nationality, and are paid directly at the border. They are not included in the transfer fare because they depend on individual circumstances.

Question 10

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept bank transfers, cash, and major credit cards. Payment details are confirmed during the booking process.

Question 11

What documents do I need for a cross-border transfer?

Accepted Answer

You'll need a valid passport and any required visa for the destination country. GCC residents may be able to enter certain countries with their residency permit. We recommend verifying entry requirements before travel.

Question 12

How long do border crossings take?

Accepted Answer

Most border crossings take 20 to 60 minutes under normal conditions. During peak periods or holidays, wait times can be longer. Our drivers are experienced and handle the process efficiently.

Question 13

What happens at the border?

Accepted Answer

Your driver takes you to the border checkpoint. You complete passport and customs formalities — typically on foot at international crossings. On routes that require a vehicle change, a second driver with a fresh vehicle is waiting on the other side.

Question 14

Why do some routes require two vehicles?

Accepted Answer

Cross-border vehicle regulations in the Gulf often prevent a single car from operating across both countries. On these routes, we provide two dedicated vehicles — one on each side of the border — for a seamless handoff.

Question 15

What types of vehicles are available?

Accepted Answer

We offer Executive Sedans (Toyota Camry or similar), Premium SUVs (Toyota Land Cruiser or similar), Passenger Vans (Toyota Hiace or similar), and Luxury options (BMW 7 Series, GMC Yukon, or similar) on request.

Question 16

Can I request a specific vehicle?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Let us know your preference when booking and we'll do our best to accommodate it. Luxury vehicles may require additional lead time.

Question 17

Are child seats available?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Child seats are available on request at no additional charge. Please mention the child's age when booking so we can provide the appropriate seat.

Question 18

How much luggage can I bring?

Accepted Answer

Standard luggage allowances depend on the vehicle type. Sedans accommodate 2–3 large suitcases, SUVs and vans can handle more. If you have oversized or excess luggage, let us know in advance.

Question 19

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled departure are fully refundable. For cancellations within 24 hours, the deposit may be retained. Contact us via WhatsApp to discuss any changes.

Question 20

Can I change my pickup time or location?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Minor changes to pickup time or location can usually be accommodated. Please notify us as early as possible via WhatsApp.

Question 21

What if my flight is delayed?

Accepted Answer

If we're picking you up from an airport, we monitor flight statuses and adjust pickup times accordingly at no extra charge. Please keep us informed via WhatsApp.

Question 22

Are your drivers licensed and vetted?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All our drivers are professionally licensed, vetted, and experienced with cross-border routes in the Gulf region.

Question 23

Is it safe to drive between Gulf cities?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The highway infrastructure across the GCC is modern and well-maintained. Our drivers are familiar with all routes, border procedures, and local driving conditions.

Question 24

What if flights are disrupted?

Accepted Answer

Private ground transfers are a reliable alternative when flights are cancelled or delayed due to regional disruptions. Many of our clients book transfers specifically when air travel becomes uncertain.
