Grand Prix weekends in the Gulf: private transfers by road

Four Formula 1 races take place in the Gulf. Many fans drive in from a neighbouring country, especially for Bahrain and Abu Dhabi. We take you door to door, across the border if needed, in a private car with a professional driver at one fixed price per vehicle.

Bahrain Grand Prix: the easiest to reach by road

Sakhir is about 30 km south of Manama. From Al Khobar and Dammam it is a short drive across the King Fahd Causeway, and from Riyadh it is a comfortable day trip in one car, with no change of vehicle.

Race weekend brings long queues at the causeway, especially on Thursday evening into Bahrain and on Saturday night back to Saudi Arabia. We plan your departure around the peaks.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: Yas Marina

Yas Island is about 20 km from central Abu Dhabi and close to Abu Dhabi airport. Taxi queues after the race can be long. A private driver who drops you off and collects you at an agreed point saves a lot of waiting.

    Qatar Grand Prix: Lusail

    Saudi Arabian Grand Prix: Jeddah

The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is about 20 km north of the city centre. Jeddah is a long way from the other Gulf capitals by road, so most fans fly in. We can arrange transfers in Jeddah and the drive from Riyadh for those who prefer the road.

    Race weekend tips

    • Arrive the day before qualifying. Border queues peak on Thursday evening.
    • Agree a pickup point near the circuit with your driver in advance. Roads around the circuits close or become one-way on race days.
    • Bring your passport, residence permit and any visa you need for the host country.
    • For groups, a van or two SUVs usually cost less than several taxis and keep everyone together.
