Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah is a short run up the coast, around 110 km and 1.5 hours, with no border and the same driver throughout. Most people book it to reach a beach resort on Al Marjan Island or in Al Hamra, to head up Jebel Jais, or to get to a wedding or business event in RAK. You are collected at your hotel, home or the airport in Dubai and taken straight to the door.

The drive takes about 1.5 hours. Traffic leaving Dubai is the main factor, especially at weekday rush hours and on the stretch past Sharjah. Outside the peaks the trip usually runs to plan. Drop‑offs on Jebel Jais take longer because of the mountain road.
Getting to a RAK resort with family
With children and beach bags, a private car is simpler than juggling taxis. Child seats are free on request, and the SUV or van gives room for pushchairs and luggage for a week away. Your driver takes you to the resort entrance, not a nearby drop point. Book the return at the same time if you already know your check-out date.
Landing at DXB and heading straight to RAK
Many guests land in Dubai and go directly to Ras Al Khaimah. Your driver tracks the flight and waits 60 minutes after landing at no charge, so delays and long immigration queues are covered. From DXB the drive is about 1.5 hours, which puts most travellers at their hotel within a couple of hours of leaving the terminal.
