Expect 5 to 6 hours from the terminal to your door in Kuwait. Most of the variation comes from the border at Al Khafji and Nuwaiseeb, where you clear exit and entry and change cars. Rush-hour traffic around Kuwait City can also slow the final stretch.
Landing late in Dammam
Plenty of flights reach Dammam late in the evening. A night transfer avoids daytime heat and traffic, and you wake up in Kuwait rather than spending a night in an airport hotel. Changing cars at Al Khafji
Your Saudi driver takes you to the exit post at Al Khafji. You leave the car there with your luggage and clear passport and customs control. After the Kuwait entry checks at Nuwaiseeb, a second driver is waiting on the Kuwaiti side to load your bags and finish the trip. If you're carrying a lot, the SUV or van makes this step easier at both ends.
